In every organization or company, there is always a constant search and attraction for the best talent in order to increase work, enhance positive results and create an unstoppable labor force resulting in the best numbers on the market. We already know that talent is important, but actually is not everything. When there is not good communication in a working team, talent is useless.

Regarding communication, we sometimes make mistakes when thinking that we are talking about a boss who gives orders to his dependents and just leaves it like that. The reality is that we need to frame a much broader outlook when raising good communication inside our company.

First of all, it is required to build a positive environment where we can have open expressions from every concern, idea or suggestion. The latter can be done by means of an honest and always respectful communication style. At all costs, it is necessary to avoid discrimination of ideas or prejudices impeding each person to speak everything that can be a huge advantage for the company. Obviously, good communication implies that each and every team member takes a huge responsibility and reports to become part of the working culture.

On the other hand, it is important to refer to the importance of assertiveness in order for messages to flow correctly in between. This is not about remaining silent or patronizing when speaking, and far less about being aggressive or rude when expressing. The purpose is about finding a middle point where the main idea remains clear and people have the chance to express respectfully. That is what we call being assertive.

Team members must speak between each other and be prepared to perform active and empathic listening skills, where questions can be useful and powerful reflections can be raised to lead your work to a much higher level.
